The Blue Angel is an environmental label awarded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, which guarantees high standards for the protection of our environment and health. The production of our Blue Angel papers saves approximately 70% water and 60% energy compared to virgin fibre paper. The Blue Angel also guarantees that no harmful chemicals or optical brighteners are added to the paper during production.

ZOEWIE is committed to the reuse of our raw materials. As a participant in the dual Grüner Punkt system, we contribute to closing recyclable material cycles, i.e. keeping paper waste in an economic cycle for as long as possible via high-quality recycling. In 2019, Grüner Punkt recycled 1.7 million tonnes of waste. This saved as much CO2 as 85,000 people cause annually.
