ZÖWIE – a success story:

ZÖWIE was founded by Franz Zöllner-Wiethoff in Oberlauter
in 1943 and has grown continuously since then.

The family-owned business was originally a manufacturer of household papers.
After the construction of the factory in Oberlauter/Coburg in 1950,
production was converted to gift-wrapping paper in 1959.

Constant innovation has kept the company, now run by the third generation,
Jürgen and Ute Popp, firmly on course for expansion.

In 1991 the company moved to the newly built premises in Neustadt near Coburg.
Only eight years later, in 1999, “Pro-Paper-Art” was brought to life.

Initially located in rented premises in Sonneberg in Thuringia,
PPA was able to move to Föritz in 2005, where it has found a permanent home of its own.
